A broken denture is anyone nightmare so , all those of you who wear a denture should have a denture repair kit at hand if needed to be used, it will not last for a long time once it is broken , but it helps you buy time till a dentist can see you and sort it out. I have not used this ever , but a patient brought it in and showed me once and so I would recommend it .
If the denture has not broken from a fall /accident , then it will mostly be from a clenching habit during the day and this is something important to be identified and habit corrected , or else the dentures will need to be metal dentures /metal reinforced, but then the habit will find the next weak link usually the teeth , so it is important to identify and stop such habits.
